Netflix informs me that a particular show is "[a] family-oriented retelling of the King Arthur legend".

Do you even have anything left if you take out all the bits generally not considered "family-oriented" by American culture? I guess the first part of T.H. White's The Sword in the Stone might count, if you took out the more gruesome parts of his adventures in animals and a fair bit of miscellaneous other stuff. Maybe.

Hmm, would that be the Disney animated version of The Sword in the Stone? Because I can remember seeing that as a kid, and in fact reading the book specifically because I remembered the movie. (Yeah, exactly right -- took out most of the animal stuff, Merlin's duel with Madame Mim was nonfatal, and the bit with going with Robin Hood and Marian to rescue people from Morgan le Fay was left out, too. Did the whole book, though -- ended it with the trip to London and Wart getting the sword out of the stone.)
