"too hard"

Some days are sulky skirt days because pants are too hard. I am currently having a sulky bun evening because braiding my hair or having it down is too hard. I'm concerned that my definition of "easy" might be drifting towards "Victorian".

I understand about having hair down being too hard (especially when you've got enough hair to get seriously in the way -- and I've had mine waist-length or longer for most of the past twenty years), but for me a bun is the most complicated because of the way I first tightly braid it and then roll the braid up like a cinnamon roll, bobby-pinning as I go and then anchoring the mass to the nape of my neck with more pins. The braid is the low-maintenance "brush and rebraid before leaving for work and then ignore for the next twenty-four hours" option, and on weekends and vacation days (like I'm having now) I may go around with the same slowly-disintegrating braid for two or three days in a row.
